⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL: Alfamino Specialised Formula ⚠️
Attention Parents and Caregivers: Nestlé has issued an urgent recall for 5 specific batches of Alfamino Specialised Formula due to the potential presence of cereulide (a bacterial toxin).

If your baby is on Alfamino, please take the following steps immediately:

1️⃣ Check Your Batch Numbers
Look at the bottom of your formula tin. Compare the numbers to the list of affected batches on the official website (link below).

2️⃣ Stop Use & Return
If your tin is part of the recall, stop using it immediately. Return any affected tins to your pharmacy.

3️⃣ Call Your Paediatrician
Contact your Paediatrician for an urgent appointment. It is vital to discuss safe alternative feeding options while Nestlé remediates the issue.

Whooping Cough Alert: Protect Your Newborn!

There have been recent cases of whooping cough reported in our local area. If you're expecting a baby or have a newborn, it's important to take steps to protect your little one from this serious illness.

Whooping cough (pertussis) can cause severe coughing fits and even breathing pauses (apnoea) in young babies, particularly those under 12 months old.

The best way to reduce the risk? Vaccination.

✔ During pregnancy: Make sure your whooping cough vaccine is up to date—this helps you stay healthy and pass on immunity to your baby.

✔ For family & friends: Ask those who will be in close contact with your baby to ensure they are up to date with their whooping cough vaccine or have it done at least two weeks before meeting your newborn.

🌟 This past weekend, our doctors had the honour of presenting at the Annual Nepean Blue Mountains Clinical Paediatric Conference, organised by NBMPHN in partnership with NBMLHD. 🌟

We’re excited to share that Dr. Mudita Tiwari and Dr. David Youssef were key speakers, presenting to over 120 GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals on the latest advances in paediatric healthcare.

The event was truly inspiring, reinforcing our commitment to advancing healthcare and our dedication to serving the community. 💙🌿
