A moments worth celebrating 💙
For privacy reasons, this participant’s identity has been protected — but her journey is one we are incredibly proud to share.
Recently, she celebrated her birthday on the Gold Coast, surrounded by a group of genuinely positive, like-minded peers — friendships that reflect just how far she has come.
And that moment… that’s what this is all about.
Because it hasn’t always looked like this.
When she first came to ISA and commence participation in our Integrated Living Model, we were supporting through significant trauma, ongoing crisis, and environments that were not conducive to her growth or stability.
It required:
✔ Consistency
✔ Structure
✔ Clear boundaries
✔ A safe and supportive environment
Now, almost a year on, the transformation has been incredible:
✨ Strong, healthy friendships
✨ Positive peer influences
✨ Active and consistent engagement in supports
✨ Increased independence in daily living
✨ Budgeting and life skill development
✨ Clear employment goals and future direction
For her birthday celebration, our team ensured the right balance between support and independence — with support workers present to assist where required, while also allowing her the space to enjoy her friendships and milestone.
This included:
✔ Ongoing support continuity
✔ Proactive risk management
✔ High-level safety planning
✔ Crisis management readiness (if required)
✔ Promoting independence in a safe and supported way
This is what real, outcome-focused support looks like.
Not just being present — but knowing when to step in and when to step back.
At ISA, through our Integrated Living Model, Transition to Community Program, and Work Pathways, we focus on building long-term stability, independence, and real-world capability.
To this incredible young woman — you know who you are…
From where you started to where you are now, we couldn’t be prouder. Happy 19th birthday.!!!
This is one of the most powerful transitions we’ve seen — and it’s only the beginning 🚀
