We would like to give a massive thank you to the team at Roundabout Canberra for your generosity, love and support for our young mums to be here in Cowra, NSW. You have truly gone above and beyond for each and every one of them.
Your donations — including prams, car seats, clothing, baby gates, linen, first aid kits, bouncers, nappies, formula, bottles, toiletries, highchairs and so much more — have made an enormous difference. Not to mention the front door delivery to the Weigelli Centre, making it possible for us to easily distribute these wonderful items to our first time mothers.
Our young mums were completely overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for everything Roundabout has provided. They cannot thank you enough.
Roundabout Canberra, the beautiful and meaningful work you do, does not go unnoticed. We highly recommend your service, and once again, thank you — you are all amazing.

As we wrap up 2025 🎄
We would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year to the many clients we have had cross our cattle grid throughout 2025. To our wonderful service providers that continue to work alongside us, and we can't forget our little therapy dogs Axle and Jack who help comfort the residents during their stay. ✨

🎄 This Christmas, The Weir Trust is proud to be 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 of The Salvation Army’s Christmas hamper program, helping support individuals and families in our community.

Our contribution includes supplying 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬, kindly provided by Galea fruit & veg and wholesale, as well as donating funds towards additional grocery items.

We would also like to acknowledge the incredible work of Jodie McInness, Auxiliary Lieutenant, Cowra Salvos, whose dedication and coordination help make this program possible each year.

A heartfelt thank you to Weigelli Centre for volunteering their time to pack the hampers - your generosity truly reflects the spirit of the season. We are also deeply grateful to our local community members who give their time to sort and prepare donated toys, helping make Christmas brighter for local children.

TAFE is in full swing with the residents starting back again this week. Our residents are currently completing Certificate I in Construction, and this week they were finalising the finishing touches on their chopping/grazing boards. 😊

Weigelli Healing on Country 🌿🔥

This week, Weigelli residents and some of our staff were truly blessed to spend time together on an overnight camp — a journey of connection, healing, and culture.

We were very privileged to be welcomed onto the beautiful farm stay generously offered by GM Alley Coe from the Wiradjuri Condobolin Corporation. Our deepest thanks also go to Uncle Jimmy Nolan and Uncle Peter Harris, who joined us and guided the group with their wisdom and spirit.

Residents were welcomed to Country with a powerful Smoking Ceremony, marking the beginning of a truly meaningful experience. Around the fire, we shared beautiful curries cooked in camp ovens, Johnny cakes, and fried scones — food made with love and shared with laughter.

There were yarns, honesty, and healing, with residents opening up, being vulnerable, and finding strength in one another. The fire became a place of reflection, laughter, and truth — a reminder that recovery is not just about sobriety, but about freedom, culture, and connection.

Country, culture, and healing ground us all — reminding us who we are and where we come from. We walk proud, strong, and together, continuing the path our old people laid before us.
