Every day, 58 Australians hear the words no one ever wants to: “You have breast cancer.” For Vanessa, an early diagnosis meant holding onto the moments that matter most...breakfast chatter, school drop-offs, bedtime giggles, and the warmth of her children’s hugs.

“When I was diagnosed, it felt as though the air had been pulled from the room. But I looked at my children and thought, I refuse to let this disease steal their mum.”

Last week our wonderful ambassadors Hayley and Lauren from Adelady met with the smart minds at the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research to see the impact of their fundraising!!

Adelady raised an incredible $126,000 at their The Longest Table event last year - which went directly towards this seriously impressive microscope for breast cancer research.

It’s not just any microscope... it can 'optically slice' through 3D tissue samples, giving researchers new ways to understand how cancer grows and survives.

A huge thank you to Jed Richards and financial services firm Shaw and Partners for their generous $10,000 donation in support of close friend and media personality Ali Clarke’s breast cancer diagnosis.

We were proud to help facilitate the donation to Ali’s cause of choice, Cancer Research SA, which is run by a group of Adelaide-based oncologists.

“Our organisation prides itself on giving back to the community,” Jed explained. “When I heard about Ali’s diagnosis, I wanted this to be my way of supporting her.”
