Have you heard of the new national lung cancer screening now available to eligible Australians .If you are a smoker or ex-smoker and aged between 50-70 years of age, talk to your GP today

Launching today, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program aims to increase early detection and improve survival for one of the deadliest cancers in NSW.

Led by the Commonwealth Government, this program provides eligible Australians aged 50-70 with no signs or symptoms of lung cancer the opportunity to screen every 2 years.

We know cancer screening saves lives, and the National Lung Cancer Screening Program is another step towards reducing the impact of cancer for people in NSW and beyond.

Weekend Reset: Get Outside for Your Health 🌤️🌿

Spending time outdoors isn’t just a mood booster—it’s a real health win. Here’s what just a little time in nature can do:
🧠 Reduce stress and anxiety
❤️ Lower blood pressure and improve heart health
💤 Improve sleep quality
🌞 Boost vitamin D (hello sunshine!)
🚶‍♀️ Encourage movement and exercise

So this weekend, unplug for a bit and head outside. Your body and mind will thank you.

🌿 Monday Wellness Tip: Breathe Like You Mean It
Start your Monday with a proper deep breath — not the dramatic sigh you do when you check your emails. 😅

🌬️ Try this:
Step outside, face the ocean, inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Bonus points if a seagull (or any other bird) judges you.
Your lungs and your brain will thank you.

https://www.dryjuly.com/about
Dry July is a fundraiser that encourages you to go alcohol-free in July to raise funds for people affected by cancer.

The funds you raise as part of your Dry July will provide invaluable services for cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.

Having a month off alcohol also has great health benefits, such as sleeping better, having more energy and of course, no hangovers! So you're not only helping others, you're helping yourself. It's a win-win!

The forecast is in --- and it's nothing but sunshine and sea breezes ahead! Time to plan a peaceful morning walk, some time in the garden or a picnic with friends and family. Soak up the warm sun, breathe the salty air and enjoy everything our beautiful village has to offer. Annual Giving Day ~ Red Apple Day
June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, a Bowel Cancer Australia initiative raising awareness of Australia's second deadliest cancer and funds for the leading community-funded charity dedicated to championing what matters most to people impacted by bowel cancer and empowering everyone affected to live their best life.

A highlight of the Month is Red Apple Day, when Australians are encouraged to support the vital work of Bowel Cancer Australia through the purchase of a Bowel Cancer Awareness Ribbon and apple themed fundraising activities.

***coExposed

That bubblegum, mango, or cotton candy flavour isn’t just for taste. It’s a trap to get young people hooked!

Don’t fall for the illusion. Unmask the appeal

Today Reconciliation Australia launches National Reconciliation Week 2025 (27 May to 3 June).
The National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future.
Bridging Now to Next urges us to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.
Our reconciliation journey hasn’t always been easy, but we’re making progress. This year’s artwork and theme remind us that after adversity, there is renewal and calls on all Australians to step forward together.
Twenty-five years ago, Corroboree 2000 brought together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous leaders in a historic call for reconciliation. We continue that work in 2025, inviting all Australians to join us in Bridging Now to Next – building a more united and respectful nation.
Corroboree 2000 and the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk were significant events in our long journey and our determination to continue that journey towards a reconciled Australia and justice for First Nations peoples is unstoppable.
What will you do to bridge now to next?
