Taking a beat to quieten the multi-tasking mayhem many of us find ourselves is in fact, not indulgent, rather it's critical to restore balance & improve performance.

Trying to connect with that inner peace and calm is actually critical for mental health, and for accessing your own intuition. Sometimes it's about working smarter, not harder.

Do you have something sacred that you do for yourself each week?
My go-to's are the below:

Endometriosis presentation varies wildly between difference people, and unfortunately, it's often overlooked in clinical practice.

Sometimes, Endo can present as Irritable bowel symptoms, pain with intimacy, or even a cyclic immune-crash right before the period each month. Pre-menstrual pain, and painful ovulation are also red flags to be wary of.

Symptoms to keep front of mind when working with women include:
💛IBS symptoms
💛pelvic pain
💛pain with ovulation
💛pain with in*******se
💛chronic constipation
💛migraines
💛extreme fatigue
💛chronic low iron reserves

Time between first presentation to a Clinician and proper diagnosis of endometriosis is often measured in years, and women deserve better. Endometriosis is a multifactorial condition that takes a multidisciplinary approach, as it impacts relationships, work commitments, intimacy and friendships.

A milestone for Women worth celebrating is the recent inclusion of menopause hormone therapies (MHT) on the Pharmaceuticals Benefits Scheme (PBS).

It’s Endometriosis Awareness Month! 💛

I love seeing so many events this year dedicated to educating and supporting those with endo. One event I’m especially looking forward to is PCOS & Endometriosis event on March 22nd, featuring the brilliant Lara Briden and clever Rhiannon Hardingham.

Eating a variety of colourful fruits and veggies does more than just brighten your plate? 😉
The vibrant pigments in these foods—called polyphenols and phytochemicals ~ are powerful antioxidants that help protect your cells from environmental chemical exposures 🫑🥕🌈

One group of chemicals, called endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), can alter hormone function and are often found in our environment, especially in fragrances and food packaging. A primary source of exposure to EDC's is from our diet as a result of food packaging and storage.

But here’s the good news: polyphenols found in colourful fruits and vegetables, act like armour to protect the body from the harmful effects of EDCs, thanks to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Polyphenols can enhance detoxification, reduce oxidative stress, and research shows a diet rich in polyphenols and reduce the health risks associated with EDC exposure.

Some other ways to reduce EDC exposure:
👉🏽Eat organic where possible
👉🏽Limit processed food
👉🏽Wash fruit and vegetables
👉🏽Avoid canned food
