On weekends Rodd is an instructor for Surf Life Saving Australia, as a bronze trainer and assessor. Rodd is accredited with Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) Australian Acupuncture body association and registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) which is the regulating body for Chinese medicine practitioners.
