Dr Ben Hanson is fellowed GP who lives locally and grew up in the Shire. Dr Hanson has 25+ years experience looking after patients in general practice both in Australia and the Middle East He is also an experienced educator and mentor of students, junior clinicians and colleagues.

Dr Hanson is especially passionate about Preventative Health and Integrative Medicine and has a clear focus on quality of care for his patients.

Dr Mel Mapleson will be joining us back at Woolooware Medical from July 19th! 🤗 New bookings will open from next week. Dr Mel is coming back in a brand new capacity to offer dedicated GP services in perinatal health.

Dr Mel is delighted to introduce her son Mitchell Mapleson born on 01/12/20. Mitchie is healthy and happy to be home! Mel would like to thank the staff at Woolooware and her patients very much for all the well wishes. 🤱🏼🎄✨

Dr Mel is into her 4th year at Woolooware Medical Practice. She grew up and trained in the local area, and also spent 7 years living in Italy. She loves working with the wonderful staff and looking after her patients at Woolooware, especially providing antenatal care to Shire Mums and Mums-to-be. Outside of work, Dr Mel proudly represents Australia at an international level in a ca****la singing with a women's barbershop Chorus, for whom she also choreographs. She speaks fluent Italian and is happily vegetarian. Dr Mel will be taking leave from early November to welcome her baby boy. She assures us she'll be back at Woolooware after not too long!
