This week is all about self-kindness and compassion!

You may notice the more internal strength we build, the less power the external world has over us.

Some ways we can practice this:
🌞 Be gentle with our thoughts - speak to yourself the way you would speak to a friend.
🌞 Acknowledge your feelings - instead of pushing down or avoiding, let yourself feel your emotions without shame.
🌞 Boundaries - say no when needed, prioritise people and activities that energise you.
🌞 Take care of your body - create healthy routines that allow you to feel good (sleep, movement, diet etc.)
🌞 Positive inner dialogue - challenge harsh and negative thoughts, practice gratitude.
🌞 Make time for joy - think of people and activities that bring you joy.
🌞 Self care routine - this allows your to distress and utilise healthy coping strategies.

Starting off Monday with a Mental Health Challenge: Gratitude and Confidence Building Journal everyday for a week.

We wanted to share a simple tool with the wider community which benefits YOU. There is a huge evidence base behind daily gratitude and confidence journalling which demonstrates:

🌵 Higher levels of positive emotions.
🌵 Reduced depression and anxiety.
🌵 Better sleep.
🌵 Greater relationship satisfaction.
🌵 Increased sense of ability to achieve goals.
🌵 Better stress management.
🌵 Greater goal achievement.
🌵 Higher levels of motivation.

For best results - do this everyday for a month.

Weekend Adventure + Mindfulness: What can you spot?

🌵 Atleast 5 different types of plants/trees with different shades of green.
🌵 The ripples of the water flowing and the way the sky/trees reflect themselves in this.
🌵 Different types of bark and the different colours and textures.
🌵 The split in the rock at the base of the waterfall.
🌵 Atleast 5 different colours/shades in the rocks.
🌵 Atleast 5 different patterns in the rocks.

Try it outside today! See what you notice, you might see things you've never seen before.

TIP: Whilst doing this, see if you notice a change in your thoughts. Is there less space for worrisome thoughts? Did they really need to be there in the first place?
