Pilates Myth - PILATES WILL GIVE YOU A 6 PACK, AND FAST!

Many people associate Pilates with a stronger core. This is true. But your "core" is so much more than just a 6 pack.

The current definition of the body's core includes spinal muscles, the gluteals and the 4 abdominal muscles, one of which is the Re**us Abdominus or 6 pack muscle. In Pilates we take this general definition of the core even further, to include pelvic floor and diaphragm.

All of these muscles need to work, and work together for optiomal posture, movement and reduced pain.

As for those rock-hard abs? Pilates can definitely play a part by strengthening your entire core, including your 6-pack!
