Sometimes it’s not the big breakthrough or the long retreat.

It’s a quiet moment.
The right thing, at the right time, in the right place.
And something shifts.

Maybe it’s a breath landing deeper than it ever has.
A release in your jaw you didn’t even know you were holding.
A sense that your body isn’t the enemy—it’s been trying to speak to you all along.

In my work, these are the moments I see again and again.

Not flashy.
But profound.

When a person feels their pelvic floor respond without trying.
When they sense their diaphragm actually move.
When they catch themselves not bracing.
It’s like their system whispers, “Yes. This.”

That’s what nervous system-based, embodied work can do.
It meets you exactly where you are—no forcing, no fixing.

Because when your body finally feels safe enough to reorganize,
Change doesn’t have to be dramatic to be real.
It just needs the right condition to unfold.

And then?
The whole story starts to change.

Curious what one of those moments might feel like for you?

You’re welcome to join a Monday or Friday class,
or explore the Pelvic Potency course when the next round opens.

What is self care supposed to look like?

Tonight it looked like a hydrating mask,
a glass of Rosé,
my dog curled up by the fire,
and a friend I can exhale with.

Honestly?
I don’t always take great care of myself.
I skip meals.
Scroll too much.
Forget to move.
Forget to pause.

But lately, I’ve been choosing myself a little more often.
Letting things be softer.
Noticing what actually feels good.

That feels like self care to me.

And when I need help remembering how to come back to myself,
I lean into the same practices I share with clients—
movement, breath, and a little nervous system kindness.

What does care look like for you these days?

Thanks for listening to my pet hates, but I'm delighted to share that I had a marvellous time.

Delicious meal with a gorgeous friend and we got to experience these two talented beings who are travelling around Aus for the Small Halls Festival all the way from Austria.

Worth the discomfort of leaving my dog home alone 😅

Last Saturday's Pelvic Potency workshop was co-facilitated by Billie Page, our studio dog.
She approached each person in turn, making sure they were all doing ok and eventually spread herself out beside someone, making sure everyone got the special treatment before the day was up.

Artist from Billie's special touch, here's what one participant said

"Thanks for the Pelvic Potency workshop!  Learning how the soft palette, diaphragm and pelvic floor work together was super interesting.
Among other things, I learned why concentrating on my breathing sometimes makes me more anxious and how to engage my diaphragm effectively to relax my breath."

Would you attend a class with a studio dog?

So, I just finished a session with a client and went to use the bathroom. That's when I saw my reflection in the mirror 😯

I've been stressing about putting myself on camera, mostly because I'm not prone to 'doing myself up'. That often includes brushing hair 😆

"No one wants to see that" right?

As I scroll the countless faces speaking at me here, I see people who have made an effort to look good, to be appealing to their audience.

I don't work like that.

I polish myself up when I want to and don't even think about my appearance the rest of the time.

I speak about what I find interesting and think will benefit others, when I am inspired to do so. That's often not when I've brushed my hair. 😅

So here I am, in my raw glory asking you to give me your honest opinion.

Would you like to see this head show up on your feed or are you grateful that I keep myself behind the camera.

Do you love to be surprised?

Not the kind that startles or overwhelms,
but the kind that slips under your guard
and shows you something new about yourself.

In my sessions, this happens all the time.

You come in expecting one thing—maybe to fix the pain, feel a bit more ease, understand why your jaw’s locked or your pelvis feels like it’s not part of you anymore.

And then somewhere, in the quiet of a small movement,
you feel something shift.
Not just in your body, but in your sense of you.

Your breath drops lower.
Your thoughts slow down.
You find yourself in a part of you that hasn’t been touched in years.

That’s the surprise.
Not flashy, not performative—just deeply real.
And it only lands because we’ve made it safe enough for your body to trust it.

The nervous system doesn’t open to force.
It opens to gentleness, curiosity, presence.

That’s where the real work happens.

If this speaks to something you’ve been longing for,
I’ve got space in upcoming sessions and weekly classes.
Come explore what’s possible when you stop bracing
and start listening.

*1:1 sessions available
* Pelvic Potency returns in October
*Awareness Through Movement classes Mondays & Fridays

The nervous system is like an internal media system.

A 24/7 broadcast channel, constantly scanning, posting, filtering, tagging threat or safety, forwarding old stories, looping highlight reels of past pain, and ghosting signals we’re not yet ready to feel.

And just like social media, it’s not always reliable.
It amplifies some signals, silences others.
It gets overwhelmed. It gets hijacked.
It needs boundaries, rest, and real connection to reset.

Healing the body isn’t just a muscle thing.
It’s a media system thing.

Not the kind you scroll—but the kind you live inside.

Your nervous system is your internal media network.
Always online, always scanning, always deciding what gets posted:
Threat or safety. Tension or ease.
Bracing or letting go.

When your breath stays stuck in your chest...
When your jaw clenches without you noticing...
When your pelvic floor grips just to feel held...

That’s your internal media system broadcasting: I’m not safe yet.

In this work, we don’t override the signal.
We learn to listen underneath it.

Through simple movement, breath awareness, and gentle tracking, we start to rewrite the feed—one post of safety at a time.

🌀 Join me for weekly Awareness Through Movement classes
