CARE CAFE PRACTITIONER SESSIONS - NEXT TUESDAY! Our fabulous Kylie O'Neill, a Licensed Brain Gym Movement Facilitator, will be offering 30-minute 1:1 session at our next Care Cafe on the 20th May
Kylie is a Licensed Movement Facilitator with Brain Gym Australia; she is offering mini sessions. Brain Gym is a program that uses specific physical movements to enhance learning and overall brain function. It aims to improve focus, memory, and coordination by activating different areas of the brain through movement. The program incorporates 26 exercises designed to connect the left and right brain hemispheres and promote better communication between them.
The Key aspects of Brain Gym are:
• Movement-based learning uses physical movements to stimulate and engage the brain.
• Improved cognitive functions: enhancing executive functions like flexible thinking and problem-solving, processing speed, attention, and memory.
• Brain hemisphere connection promotes communication and coordination between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
• Educational Kinesiology:
Brain Gym is part of a larger field called Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K), which focuses on how movement can support learning.
• Potential benefits: help improve focus, memory, and coordination, as well as enhance learning outcomes in areas like math, reading, and writing.
