Bribie Doctors Group proudly welcomes Dr Vinisha Khushal to our Banksia Beach and Woorim clinics, commencing Monday 21st July at Banksia Beach and Tuesday 19th August at Woorim. Dr Vinisha Khushal is a compassionate and dedicated female General Practitioner with a passion for General Practice.

Dr Khushal provides holistic and patient-centered care, with a special interest in child health, immunisations, women’s health (including antenatal, postnatal care, and family planning), STI checks, preventive medicine, mental health consults and care plans, and chronic disease management. She is also skilled in procedures such as cryotherapy, Pap smears and Implanon insertion and removal. Known for her warm and empathetic nature, she builds strong, trusting relationships with her patients and is committed to supporting their well-being across all life stages. We look forward to welcoming her to the team at Bribie Doctors

In Queensland, the pneumococcal vaccine is recommended and free for specific groups under the National Immunisation Program (NIP). These include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged 50 and over, non-Indigenous adults aged 70 and over, and people of all ages with certain medical risk conditions.

Eligibility for free pneumococcal vaccination in Queensland:
-Adults aged 70 years and over
-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Adults: Those aged 50 and over
-People with Risk Conditions: Individuals of all ages with specific medical conditions that increase their risk of pneumococcal disease

Our Allied Health Services team plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, holistic care to our patients.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapies to patients
- Collaborating with our medical team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining detailed patient records and adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements
- Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Delivering services in our modern, well-equipped clinic on Bribie Island

What we're looking for

- Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline (e.g. Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Podiatrist, Exercise Physio)
- Current registration with the appropriate professional body
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centred approach
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Current Insurance as per industry requirements
- Commitment to working within a team and a growing the services available

While the risk of bowel cancer increases significantly with age, the disease doesn’t discriminate, affecting people of all ages.

280 Australians will be diagnosed with bowel cancer this week (14,534 people a year).
