When your mind is constantly busy, overwhelmed and overthinking, everything feels harder.

You second guess yourself.
You feel anxious.
You feel stuck.
You can’t make decisions.
You feel emotionally overwhelmed.
You feel exhausted from thinking all the time.

But when you have mental clarity, everything changes. You can make decisions more easily, you feel calmer, you feel more confident, and you feel more in control of your life.

Your nervous system cannot heal in chaos.

If you are constantly rushing, scrolling, worrying, working, overthinking, and pushing through exhaustion, your nervous system never gets a chance to switch off and repair.

Stillness is not laziness.
Stillness is not unproductive.
Stillness is where the body heals.

A lot of the people who come to see Jo are in a season where they are starting again in some way — after grief, after burnout, after divorce, after illness, after loss, after life has changed.

Starting again can feel scary, but it can also be the beginning of something more aligned, more peaceful and more true to who you are.

Sometimes you don’t realise how much you are holding until you give yourself permission to stop.

The Cacao, Breathwork & Sound Healing Ceremony is a night to slow down, soften, release and reconnect with yourself. Ceremonial cacao opens the heart, breathwork helps release stored emotion and tension, and sound healing helps calm the nervous system so the body can rest and reset.

Jo created these evenings because so many people are stressed, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted and constantly in “go mode”, and they need a space where they can be looked after for a few hours and just breathe.

Just space.

Jo’s Grief Sound Meditation Evening is a gentle, safe space where people can come and sit with their grief without pressure to talk, share or be anything other than where they are.

Through gentle sound, breath and grounding, this evening is designed to help the nervous system settle and give the body and heart a small amount of rest from carrying so much.

This evening is for anyone experiencing grief in any form — loss of a loved one, relationship endings, health changes, identity changes, life changes, pet loss, or the quiet grief we carry that no one else sees.

Grief is not just an emotion — it is a full body experience.

When someone is grieving, it is very common to experience:
• Exhaustion
• Brain fog
• Trouble sleeping
• Anxiety
• Tight chest
• Loss of appetite or overeating
• Body aches
• Feeling numb or disconnected
• Getting sick more often
• Feeling overwhelmed by small things

This is because grief puts the nervous system under a huge amount of pressure. The body is trying to process loss, shock, emotional pain and life changes all at once, and it can be incredibly exhausting.

This is why Jo is so passionate about grief support — because people often think they are “not coping” when really their body is responding normally to loss.

Grief support sessions, sound healing, Reiki and gentle mentoring can all help support the nervous system and the emotional body during grief, giving the body small moments of rest, release and support while someone learns to live with their loss.

If you are grieving, please know there is nothing wrong with how you are feeling. Grief is heavy because love is deep, and you don’t have to carry it on your own.
