Monday night, yoga is back for 2026 😆

We kick off Monday 2nd February at 6pm.

We offer holistic yoga classes designed to support longevity and wellbeing. Our approach embraces all individuals as they move through the seasons of life, integrating the principles and practices of Ayurveda into every session.

Ayurveda, meaning “the science of life,” teaches us how to live in harmony with our unique nature, promoting balance on both an energetic and physical level.

Our aim is to create an open, safe, and inclusive space where everyone can experience the healing benefits of yoga. With this in mind, our classes are trauma-informed, offering a gentle, body-centered approach that supports the nervous system while emphasizing choice, empowerment, and safety.

Regular yoga practice is backed by scientific research and offers numerous benefits, including:
• Stress reduction
• Improved brain function
• Enhanced sleep quality
• Reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression
• Relief from chronic pain
• Better cardiovascular and metabolic health
• Increased joint and bone strength
• Improved respiratory efficiency

We believe yoga is more than movement—it’s a pathway to balance, adaptability, and lifelong wellbeing.

We have well and truly ventured into the new year. If you had set some resolutions on New Years Eve, they may have already been broken. If this is your reality, you're not alone. Resolutions often create no wiggle room for the human experience. Paving a way for feelings of failure when you're not able to stick to them.

Instead, take some time to create your top 5 priorities for the year. Think about what's important to you, what you want to achieve, and how you want to spend your valuable time. Then, you might like to have them somewhere visible. This will give you the opportunity to remind yourself daily and help support your decision-making throughout the year. While keeping you aligned with what's important to you.

Sending you love, light, and prosperity for the year ahead.

Invitation

Today, I invite you to pause. Grap a cuppa and a journal.
Take some time and ponder the year. Use some reflective questions if needed. Here are some examples:

The biggest highlight from the past year?

Top 5 enjoyable experiences?

Small things you've enjoyed in day to day living?

Favourite hobbies?

Biggest achievement?

What's something you learnt?

How well did I care for myself - emotionally, physically, mentally & spirituality?

What challenges have I faced? What lessons were learnt in response to the challenges?

How did I use my free time? Did these activities support my higher self?

What new habit or routine did I establish?

Did I step out of my comfort zone?

What do I have to say to this past year's version of myself?

What am I willing to let go of as I move forward?

Being reflective will support your growth.

Love , light, and happy reflecting

The mind is wild in nature. A yoga practice supports us in creating some space between who we really are and the nature of the mind. This space allows us to see the mind for what it is. Gaining the ability to let go of the stroies that are harming us and instead use the mind as a wonderful tool. No longer will the mind be running your life.

Personally, my yoga practice has supported me in so many ways. The most profound shift has been in how I show up in the world. It's provided me with many tools to navigate the messy human experience. I can now often see the beauty and wonder that is life.

If any of this sparks your interest, I'd love you to join my weekly yoga and ayurveda classes. We meet on Mondays, 6 pm at The Centre Bairnsdale.

About

I am qualified yoga teacher (RYTA350) and reiki practitioner. I began practicing yoga when I was pregnant with my first child 12 years ago. As the years went on I fell in love with the practice. My interest and desire to learn more continued to developed with the help of some wonderful teachers, until I was drawn to study yoga teacher training. This deepened my knowledge of the ancient practice. With the understanding that each student is a complete system encompassing mind, body and spirit. I believe that yoga is for everybody, the tools we learn through our yoga practice create an excellent foundation. Leading to greater self-esteem, confidence and body awareness while improving our ability to relax and cope with life’s challenges.

My study and practice of yoga has lead me to discover the wisdom of Ayurveda. Ayurveda translates as life knowledge or science. Ayurveda originated in India and deals with the concepts of health and wellness, looking at both prevention and cure. Being a holistic medicine it recognises the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of being human and understands that all of these aspects require balance for an individual to feel optimal health and well being.

Ayurveda looks at our connection to nature both internal and external observing that we have everything we need to be healthy within us. It acknowledges that our lifestyle choices and the foods we consume can throw us out of balance and if left untreated, can lead to disease.

I am excited to be studying a Diploma in Ayurvedic lifestyle consultancy. This eastern medicine is absolutely relevant today in our western culture. I look forward to combining Ayurveda with my yoga teaching once I’m a qualified practitioner.
