Therapy and formal mental health treatment are, sadly, not accessible for everyone, but there are still plenty of other ways we can develop our “mental healthiness” (Dr. Joseph Lee).
What everyday practices do you have? Here are some ideas from thebraincoach. 💗

There is a lot of misconception about what mental health treatment looks like so I wanted to bring this post back up on the grid. Many believe we can only treat our mental health with medication and psychotherapy. Yes, these interventions are effective and preferred in severe cases of psychological distress. However, there are various other ways we can take care of our mental health (especially in the form of preventative measures from it becoming a mental health condition).
If you have tried any of the above to improve your mental health (including medication and therapy), I’d love to learn about your experience in the comments below. I am sure there are many others who will benefit from it as well ♥️👇🏽
Note: I encourage you to use the information I share on here as a guide. Everyone’s experience is unique so some strategies/tools might not be relevant to your specific situation. Please see disclaimer in my highlights. Take care of your mind and body. Love, Nawal ♥️
