Coming Soon to George Town – Supported Independent Living Home
Lighthouse Peer Support is exploring a SIL (Supported Independent Living) opportunity right here in George Town — and we want to hear from you first.

The home sits on a peaceful 3-acre farm within town boundaries, and features:
• 3 bedrooms
• Full kitchen
• Shower/bathroom
• Shared lounge
• Acres of outdoor space to enjoy
• Support workers live onsite in a separate building — close when you need them, private when you don’t.

This would be a supported, homely environment where you can live as independently as possible — with the right people around you.
• Suitable for NDIS participants (self-managed or plan-managed)
• Peer-led support — we get it, because we’ve lived it
• George Town based — close to town, with room to breathe.

Are you or someone you know looking for a SIL home in George Town?

Drop a comment below, send us a message about your interest. This is an early expression of interest only — no commitment required.

Please share this post so it reaches the people who need it most.

.. and we will be situated on the footpath outside Wynyard Woolworths, between their front door and Dixon's Pharmacy.

We will be selling lots of amazing, quality made items including knitted/crocheted blankets, baskets, beanies and bags - sewn items such as aprons, children's sunhats, bowl cosies and bags - woven baskets, handmade soap, starter journals/sticker books, handwoven throw/scarf and jewellery.

There will be plenty to choose from for your Christmas gifts; for those who would love a handmade item made with love and care :)

Pop along and say hi and grab yourself a bargain :)

A heartfelt thanks to all who have made items and donated them to Farm It Forward Tasmania to sell. We do not receive external funds and what funds we do have has been as a result of $ donations and sales of items donated to us, or from our garlic (which will be harvested and sold very soon).
