Here at CCFP we love meeting all members of the family. This gorgeous ball of fluff is 9 weeks old and called Milo. He is very lucky to have Preston to look after him. (Thanks Mum for allowing us to share)

🚨 Autistic children are 46 times more likely to experience school distress. Forty-six.

This isn’t coincidence - it’s a call to action. Our education system is failing neurodivergent children on a massive scale.

Change is overdue. Let’s make it happen - join School Avoidance Awareness Week and be part of the movement.

Attendance numbers don’t tell us if a child feels safe, and scare tactics can do more harm than good.

When pressure rises, capacity falls.
Stress increases, attendance becomes harder, and difficulties spill into other settings.
Our lived experience says: calm the nervous system and prioritise wellbeing.

Start with safety:
Reduce stressors, offer flexible options, and co-create supports with the student and family.

Prioritise wellbeing; attendance may follow, but the goal is felt safety for the child.
