It was wonderful to be back after a short break.
This was super special sharing with a client a little chick that had been kicked out of the nest. Together we warmed it up and now a happy thriving little chick.
Delivering mental health therapy on the farm provides so many opportunities for experiences that don’t happen in a clinic. Opens door for conversations and feelings we sometimes disconnect from.
Have a lovely weekend everyone

During therapy this king parrot flew into my shelter and was with us for about five minutes. It was if it also was holding space for someone going though a difficult time.
Animals domesticated or wild continue to just show up in many different ways. Winter outside therapy can be a little challenging however moments like this make it all worth it.
I am having a break for a couple of weeks however I will still keep an eye on emails.
Thank you everyone for just being you ❤️

For some of my NDIS participants, the changes are impacting their ability to access services. This service is recording the impact on participants to help lobby the government with people’s stories. Have your voice heard and take the time to track how NDIS changes are impacting you.

Why are horses a release for people?

Horses are a release for people because they strip life back to its simplest, most honest form.
In a world full of noise, emails, deadlines, expectations, horses remind us that real communication isn’t about words. It’s about presence. It’s about energy, intention, awareness.

When you’re with a horse, your words mean nothing, but your actions, your body language, your energy? That’s everything. You can’t fake confidence with a horse. You can’t lie with your posture. You can’t manipulate with charm or excuses. Horses reflect back exactly who you are in that moment, your fear, your calm, your frustration, your peace.

That’s why working with horses is 90% self-reflection. They force you to get quiet. To slow down. To pay attention not only to them, but to yourself. Your breathing, your posture, your thoughts. They draw you out of your head and into your body, into the present.

It takes us back to a time when survival, connection, and trust weren’t built on promises or conversations. They were built on consistency, energy, and respect. Horses remind us how to just be, without the layers of complication life piles on.

That’s why so many people find healing with them. They don’t care about your job, your past, your social status. They care about your energy in this moment, and nothing feels more freeing than being seen for your truest self, without judgment, without words.

1. Survey about changes to NDIS legislation. Survey close: Friday, 27 June 2025

Who is this survey for? We want to hear from NDIS participants, family members, carers, or plan nominees.

2. Survey – Recent changes for the NDIS: what does it mean for people with mental health support needs?
Survey close: Monday, 30 June 2025
Who is this survey for? This survey is for NDIS participants, family members, carers, and plan nominees.

How long will the survey take? The survey will take about 10-20 minutes to complete.

What is this survey about? The University of Sydney are running a survey to understand how the recent changes to the NDIS, including the ‘Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1’ amendments, might affect people with mental health challenges in Australia.

Your feedback will help in understanding the impacts of the changes on the lives of people with mental health challenges. Your feedback will also inform future support and services.
