Little peak at the lower level wall on my Maclean project. She has been a challenge this one. Can’t get a truck up to site for deliveries so all materials coming to site in trailer. Stone being split off site and transported. No complaints though and we have now broken her back and the finishing touches to come over the next couple weeks. Pretty stoked with how it’s all turning out ✌️⚒❤️🐕.

Well that was one hell of a week. We jumped off our Maclean project on Tuseday to bring to life a large scale block retaining wall for , after weeks of organising it was pretty rewarding to bring it to life. Had a bit of help from an amazing digger operator and my off sider and a couple of young lads. Pretty stoked with the out come. We used c grade blocks from the quarry master at north coast sandstone with each block coming ing at around 700kg a block. Safe to say this baby is not going anywhere. ✌️⚒❤️🐕.

Proud dad post. The young lady in the middle of this pic is my first born a little while back she rang me to let me know she wanted to follow in my footsteps and become a stone mason. I rang a few fellow masons down Sydney way as she wasn’t ready to make a move to the northern rivers at the present and become a mason with me. She chose a different path and landed herself a trial in polishing bay in Wollongong. She worked hard and was rewarded with an apprenticeship at a stone company and next year she will start training under the same masters as me at miller tafe and gain the same qualifications I have. Very emotional for this dusty old mason. One day she will join me to futher her experience and work towards carrying on the name. For now I’ll be by the phone offering advice and telling stories of past jobs and stones layed. Congratulations my love your dad is the proudest mason in all the lands.

With a wet block at the start of the week it gave me a chance to get out to the legends at north coast sandstone to pick up some beautiful 40mm sawn slabs. The first of two sets of stairs started to take shape and I couldnt be more stoked. I managed to get the boss dog out her chair for her Friday arvo inspection. The project is really starting to take shape now with a he’ll of a lot more to go and I’m excited. ✌️❤️⚒.

A big 7 days on my Maclean project which saw us excavate the block again and remove a lot of shotty stone work done by previous owners. This was done so stage one can now start to connect with stage two. There was some completion in stage one with bottom wall coming together, trip to the good folk for more stone and even a pick up of new jumpers which my little apprentice is happily modelling for you all. Time to but the feet up for couple of days as the northern rivers gets ready for more rain. Happy Friday. ✌️⚒❤️.

At the end of last year I headed to nambucca heads to do this wall. Over the weekend the client sent through this pic of it all light up. Looks amazing, always stokes me to receive pics like this from past clients. The stone used is natural Australian sandstone cladding supplied by the good folk ✌️❤️⚒.
