Host a morning tea that’s kind to the planet 🌍☕🌿

Hosting a beautiful morning tea doesn't mean compromising the environment! Here are a few simple ways to keep it sustainable while still making it a memorable occasion:

🍽️ Opt for reusable cups and plates - Go for ceramic, glass or bamboo to serve your treats.

🍋 Choose locally sourced, organic ingredients - Reduce your carbon footprint by using fresh, seasonal produce.

🥗 Compost your food scraps - After the tea party, compost any leftovers or peelings to give back to the earth.

🌼 Minimal waste decorations - Use cloth napkins instead of paper, and go for natural elements like fresh flowers or potted plants for decor.

WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY is tomorrow Wed 2 April 2025. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness of autism and to recognise, support and celebrate the contributions of Autistic people.

Around one in 100 Australians is autistic, with many undiagnosed. Autism affects the way individuals interact with others and how they experience the world around them. Autistic people differ greatly in their characteristics, needs and experiences – each person has unique strengths and challenges.

Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology for ASD?
It is not commonly known that we can assist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Along with impaired social interaction and communication skills many people with ASD will also have developmental delay, reduced coordination, balance, reaction time, strength and postural control. This can often make everyday tasks difficult, and can make activities complex - making participation and social interaction challenging.
We create an environment that is supportive, aiming to enhance participation and reduce anxiety.

Recently one of our physiotherapists Marcus had the privilege of working with the Under 23 Men's National Wheelchair Basketball Team "The Spinners" at the Australian Institute of Sport as they prepare for the upcoming World Championships in Brazil.

The camp featured an international friendly series versus Japan and enabled the Spinners to fine tune their training, strength and conditioning and live game simulations.

Good luck to the Spinners!
