Sarcopenia - this term seems to be popping up a lot in articles and podcasts lately. What is it - sarcopenia refers to age-related, progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength, and function. As we age, we lose muscle to support our bones in everyday activities. Continuing to strengthen is so important so that as we age we can perform basic movements like walking, climbing stairs, getting off a chair, with ease, confidence and strength.
