Yarragon Medical Centre is committed to providing comprehensive, high quality, up-to-date general practice care to all individuals and families. All doctors are experienced in the broad range of general practice care, from the newborn through to the elderly. Our doctors work in an ethical and responsible manner, in an environment of teamwork together with our experienced Practice Nurses. All of our doctors have satisfied the training requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and are on the Vocational Register of General Practitioners. This means Yarragon Medical Centre has a commitment to general practice and to continuing medical education.

Dr Alison Stacey joined Yarragon Medical Centre back in 2016, and has since become our new practice owner!

Alison enjoys providing comprehensive general practice care, and has an interest in all aspects of women’s health, including breastfeeding, antenatal shared care, contraception - including IUDs and medical terminations (MTOP). Alison is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

📍Unfortunately Dr Stacey is unable to take on new patients for ongoing care at this stage, but can provide lactation, IUD or MTOP services.

Dr Stacey consults Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Having stepped back from practice ownership in October 2025, Dr Payne is still practicing as a GP here at Yarragon Medical Centre.

Last Thursday we farewelled Dr Malcolm McKelvie & Dr Neel Awal.

Dr McKelvie has been a much loved and respected member of our clinic family, and will be missed by us all. We hope you enjoy retirement Mal!

Dr Awal has been with us for the past 12 months, completing his General Practice training. We wish Neel all the very best for his future endeavours, whether it be in GP or anaesthetics - and will definitely welcome him back if he decides to persue a GP career.

💚 A new chapter for Yarragon Medical Centre 💚

We have some exciting news to share! After 17 wonderful years serving our amazing community, Dr Janine Payne & Dr Malcolm McKelvie have handed over the reins to Dr Alison Stacey.

The best part? Our entire team is staying on, so you’ll continue to see all the same friendly faces when you visit. It’s business as usual, with the same care and personal service you know and trust.

A heartfelt thanks to all of our patients for your trust, loyalty, and kindness over the years. It’s been an absolute privilege to be a part of your healthcare journey, and we are thrilled to see Yarragon Medical Centre continue to thrive in great hands.
