Managing the risks of COVID-19 in our dental practice DENTAL4U
We would like to reassure our current and new patients that Dental4U practice continues to employ the highest infection control measures and follow the regulations from the Government and advice from the Australian Department of Health, as well as the Dental Board of Australia.
In addition to all routine infection control protocols, we have introduced patient screening and a mandatory hand washing/sanitising for all patients before they enter the surgery.
Please be advised that any elective and non-urgent dental procedures are postponed until further notice to minimise any risk and due to limited supplies of disposable infection control barriers.
We are still providing dental examinations, and urgent and emergency dental treatments.
As part of all appointment bookings process, we will undertake a patient screening over the phone, to determine whether you should refrain from your visit.
You must refrain from visiting a dental practice if any of the following are applicable to you:
1) You have a Fever (elevated body temperature) or history of fever AND an acute respiratory infection (shortness of breath or cough or sore throat)
2) You have travelled to, or returned from, a foreign country outside Australia within 14 days
3) You have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of someone with coronavirus within 14 days
We take all our patients’ health and safety very seriously and remind everyone to follow the prevention and self-isolation guidelines recommended by the Australian Government and health authorities.
