These include kidney disease, heart failure, lung disease, liver disease, type 1 diabetes, blindness, bone tissue, and skin grafts.

Have a read of the stories and statistics of what a donation can do.

Hello Everyone!

Today we are going to talk about rashes and the many variations of them. Rashes are generally a sign of viral infection or allergy and are usually highly treatable. Common types include allergy, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, tinea, shingles, hives, and rosacea. If you are experiencing a rash see your GP.

If it is present near your neck/throat, chest, or head immediately go to the nearest hospital, or if difficulty breathing, swallowing, dizziness, or faint occurs immediately call 000 for an ambulance.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are having a wonderful day.

We are sending this message out regarding changes on how Workcover Payments will run at Old Linton Medical Practice as of the 01/08/2025. As of this date we are following in the footsteps of many private practices throughout the state/country that ask for payment at the time of appointment.

This will mean that once your appointment has finished, payment will need to be made at reception. Reception will then give you all appropriate receipts and tax invoices and you will need to seek reimbursement personally. For telehealth appointments we will email a stripe link (like our telehealth appointments) or invoice to be paid immediately after your appointment. We will then send the paid tax invoice to you to be passed on personally for the appropriate reimbursement. Please note that medical records, case conferences, and reports requested by the insurer will continue to be invoiced to the insurer, as we are aware of the exceptional costs these can entail.

Please feel free to speak with reception and your GP regarding this change or if you need assistance in upfront payment. Please note this is for Dr Hannah Burn’s patients specifically.

We thank you for your time and understanding.

Kindest Regards,

Old Linton Medical Practice

Hello Everyone!

In 2018, 5.5 million Australians' were found to have a disability, which was approximately one in five people at the time. Disabilities are available in a massive spectrum that in a lot of cases are undetectable without the person telling you. So here is a reminder to always show your kind, respectful, and caring side to all you meet, because you might never know what goals a person is working towards and the challenges these can provide.

Please feel free to look at the following resources or personally research to become more aware of disabilities in the world and celebrate everyone's differences.

Hello Everyone!

This week we want to talk about social health. What is it? How does it affect us? and how do we care for it?

Social health is being able to take the time to interact with others and form bonds and relationships with others. Community provides support and comfort that our mental and physical health needs. Social health can be as simple as seeing a friend for coffee or dinner, watching a movie with a partner, chatting to a coworker or joining a local club.
