Do you ever have those days when it feels like everything is going wrong, and staying positive becomes more and more difficult?

Staying positive doesn’t mean pretending life is great when it is not. I love the way Abraham Hicks explains this.

Say you are having money trouble and you’re filled with fear about how you will pay for everything you need to. Repeating to yourself over and over again “I am a millionaire” or “I have all the money I need” isn’t going to work. You know it’s not true so those statements don’t change your vibration (they potentially make it worse). As AH says you can’t get to there from here.

Their advice is to reach for the next best thought. It doesn’t need to be around money, in fact it’s probably better it’s not, as it’s unlikely you can find a good thought about that when you’re filled with fear.

So you reach for the next best thought. “The sun is so nice and warm today”, “I am loving this hot coffee”, “Look at that beautiful flower”… you get the idea. Being out in nature is a really easy way to raise your vibration, it’s hard to feel down when you’re surrounded by beauty. Standing on the earth is also a great way to get grounded and balanced. And sitting in nature, enjoying the sun or the breeze on your face, listening to the birds or other sounds around you, is quite a meditative practice and can help you to process your emotions so you can feel better.

So, when you feel less than positive, regardless if it is about money, love, career - anything at all, reach for your next best thought.
