Skye offers General, Well-being Yoga classes to adults to

suit every body. Classes consist of postures for strength and flexibility, with a focus on core strength. Movement is linked with the breath allowing the body, mind and heart to open and expand. The class finishes with a deeply relaxing yoga nidra or meditation. Join me for a Yoga in Riverbank Park next Friday 28th 9:15am and every Friday during school terms. Investment $20 for 75mins.

Here are some reasons why Yoga is so beneficial:

1. Mind-Body Connection: Yoga emphasizes the mind-body connection. It incorporates meditation, breathing exercises (pranayama), and mindfulness, which can help reduce stress and promote a sense of inner calm and relaxation (improve anxiety levels & adrenal fatigue)

2. Flexibility: Yoga tends to focus on improving flexibility, particularly through a variety of postures (asanas) that stretch and strengthen the body.

3. Holistic Approach: Yoga is often seen as a holistic practice, involving not only physical exercise but also mental and spiritual development. It incorporates principles of mindfulness, meditation, and self-awareness that go beyond just fitness.

4. Variety of Styles: Yoga offers a wide range of styles (like Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Restorative) that can cater to different preferences, from intense, strength-focused practices to calming, restorative ones.

5. Accessibility: Yoga can be practiced anywhere with little to no equipment (a mat is usually enough), making it very accessible & it can be modified to suit different levels.

6. Stress Relief: Yoga is an effective form of stress relief due to its combination of movement, breathing, and meditation.

7. Practicing Yoga outdoors is especially effective, because it is so grounding. Come see for yourself.

What a wonderful welcome home parcel this is!!

It’s a privilege to be an Active Farmers trainer in my local community of Binalong & improve the mental & physical wellbeing of the participants of my weekly yoga class.

We all know the high prevalence of mental illness in the bush and sadly farmers are approximately twice as likely to take their lives by su***de than their city counterparts. The clever & inspiring Ginny Stevens wanted to change the stats and from here Active Farmers was born.

Today Active Farmers is a NFP Organisation with a vision to build stronger and more resilient farming communities.

Listen to the podcast below to hear all about Ginny Stevens, her life growing up in Tassie, working as a jillaroo in the Northern Territory, starting her own family, and her “fourth child”; Active Farmers .

Wishing you all a happy, healthy 2025 with love, joy, peace & fun adventures!

Sometimes I feel a little slow with new year intentions/goals. It’s an odd time of year with mixed feelings but this really resonated with me.

🌾 make room for rest
🌾 listen to my body
🌾 resist the hustle mentality (the need to feel busy as being worthy- a constant challenge for most)
🌾lean in to vulnerability (I grew up where this was not the case, it’s like learning a new language)

Today marks the anniversary of the fatal accident of my beloved 8 and 1/2 year old son Jairam. Tomorrow is the anniversary of when he took his last breath. There were 22 hours between the accident and his last breath. I understand how these words could bring a chill to a parent’s heart, but they come with profound insight and gratitude.

Sitting by his side in the hospital throughout the night and day was an extraordinary gift. I discovered three powerful lessons that reshaped my life forever:

1. When you are fully present to someone you experience what they are feeling.
2. When unconditional love dominates total connectedness is experienced.
3. Anything can happen at anytime, including the sudden death of a loved one. Life wants us to stay open in heart and mind whatever is happening. This is the essence of our human journey - what we are all learning. The wisest people never close down.

These moments taught me to find light in the darkest corners and a love that transcends boundaries. In my book, I share the intimate details of this journey—Jai Ram’s story, my story, and the blessings that emerged from this life-altering chapter.

Loss is universal, isn’t it? Whether it’s the heartbreaking goodbye to a loved one, a painful separation, a divorce, the end of a job, a friendship, loss of reputation or financial hardship—loss wears so many faces. Yet, very few of us learn how to navigate grief. We are left to stumble, seeking our way through the fog.

This is why I am inviting you to join our second healing retreat on November 30th. Here, you will be given not just space to heal, but powerful tools that help transform grief into growth and strength. It’s more than surviving loss; it’s about learning to evolve and thrive.

💐 Join Our Retreat on Nov 30th & Dec 1st with Rishikiz.
