Wear It Purple Day Theme 2025
BOLD VOICES, BRIGHT FUTURES

By wearing purple, Australians demonstrate to rainbow young people that they are celebrated and respected, acknowledging all have the right to be proud of who they are and who they are becoming.

Originally founded by students in response to global stories of teenagers taking their own lives due to bullying and harassment, Wear it Purple Day has become an international movement of love and support.

This year’s theme is "Bold Voices, Bright Futures", with artwork by Lee Evatt (He/Them), winner of Wear It Purple’s Youth Action Council (YAC) Design Competition to create a campaign message and artwork in celebration of LGBTQIA+ people openly and visibly achieving their dreams in sport, art, science and more!

We are seeking a motivated person to oversee all aspects of our facility and equipment maintenance. You will work with our maintenance team to ensure safe equipment and site operations that adhere to compliance regulations.

As our Facilities Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our property operations, supporting maintenance scheduling and requests, as well as contractor management and overseeing our landscaping needs.

Alexandra District Health and Yea and District Memorial Hospital are the two major health services within the Shire of Murrindindi. We both have a long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing inpatient, outpatient services, aged care and community health services.

The role of the Speech Pathologist across our two services is well varied and always rewarding. It includes assessment, treatment and management of a broad range of clients in the community and inpatient setting, including children and adults with communication or swallowing disorders, and those with difficulties in speech, language, voice, fluency and literacy.

The successful candidate will be well supported within a close-knit team of allied health professionals, as well as via clinical supervision and education opportunities.

Not all heart attacks begin with chest pain.

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable types of cancer—especially when found early.

If you're a woman or a person with a cervix aged 25 to 74 you should have a Cervical Screening Test every five years—even if you feel completely healthy and have no symptoms.

You now have options for how you take the test:
- You can have it done by a doctor or specially trained nurse; or
- You can collect your own sample using a simple swab.

Self-collection is quick, easy, and just as accurate as a test done by a healthcare provider.
