Come wander through our beautiful grounds, enjoy the colours and see our internal gardens.

The Clubs next big event is the annual Open Garden weekend on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th November. The now six gardens (3 town and 3 country are being made ready by their owners. Details of individual gardens are available on club's website at www.yearotary.org.au and weekend passes are available from TryBooking. Please note that the Yea Hospital is a coin donation and not included in the weekend pass.

Respect and Safety for All

We are deeply disappointed to share that the flags in our Community Health waiting room were vandalised, broken, and thrown in the bin by someone accessing our services.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time this has happened.

These flags are more than just fabric; they are symbols of respect, inclusion and safety for every person who walks through our doors.

Yea and District Memorial Hospital is, and always will be, a safe space for everyone — regardless of background, identity, or beliefs.

If these flags offend you, we ask that you simply leave them be. Damaging our facility is poor form and goes against the values of care and respect that we stand for.

Everyone deserves to feel safe here.

Put your health first and add ‘book my mammogram’ to your to-do list. 💗

1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. The earlier breast cancer is found, the better your chance of surviving it.

BreastScreen Australia provides free mammograms every two years for women aged 40 and over, with women aged 50 to 74 actively invited by state and territory programs.

We support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and encourage women aged 40+ to book their free 2-yearly screening appointment by calling 📞 13 20 50.

YDMH are partnering with Yea Rotary to provide a free BBQ and activities from 11-1pm for this year's World Mental Health Day, with the theme of "Appreciate the little things".

We will be set up on the grass median strip across from Mint and Jam/next to Christmas tree.

Mental Health Nurses/support will be available on the day.

Learning More About BPD: A Workshop for Families and Friends

FREE 1-day Workshop

This workshop is an opportunity to learn more about BPD and explore how to best support the person with BPD whilst also caring for yourself.

Aim:
To provide a combination of education and practical approaches to learning new skills to provide a safe environment to meet with other carers.

Topics will include:
- Understanding more about BPD • Learning new ways to support your family member/friend with BPD
- Developing and sustaining healthy relationships within the family and other social networks
- Exploration of balance between caring for another and caring for yourself

When: Thursday 30 October 9.30am – 4.30pm
