About Us: CAP Furniture specialises in manufacturing high-quality furniture for disabled children and adults, using timber and steel. We are committed to creating functional and durable products that improve the lives of our customers. We are looking for a dedicated Assembly Person to join our team and support our workshop operations.

Position Summary
As an Upholsterer with your own equipment, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of our furniture products. You will be responsible for producing good quality finished upholstery from marine vinyl working from home. The rate per furniture set will be agreed between CAP Furniture and yourself prior to engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Control: Perform quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
• Foam preparation: Glue foam to backing board and cut foam to the required size. Foam and correct size backing board will be provided.
• Upholstery: Sew upholstery to a high-quality finish as per samples provided.
• Material Management: Material will be supplied free issue
• Time Management: Ensure jobs are completed on time and accurately.
• Safety and Health: Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
• Team Spirit: Foster a positive attitude and good team spirit among colleagues.

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Can-do attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

So proud to share the impact of our recent support for the Rachawadee Centres in Nonthaburi, Thailand! Earlier this year, CAP Furniture was honoured to assist Central Queensland University (CQU) on their trip to Thailand. A team of dedicated students and academics provided invaluable therapy services to the wonderful residents at the Babies, Boys, and Girls residents, as well as an elderly and homeless centre. We were thrilled to donate two benches that are already making a real difference! The smaller bench found its home in the "Babies" centre, where it's being used in therapy sessions for sitting, propping, stepping, walking, and standing exercises. The larger bench is now at the "Girls" centre, supporting a wide range of therapeutic activities.

The teams at both centres were incredibly grateful and excited to incorporate these benches into their daily routines. It was a truly successful and heartwarming experience, and we're so thankful to have played a part in supporting these resourceful centres and their residents with complex neurological disabilities. A big thank you to CQU for their incredible work! 🙏
