OUR PHILOSOPHY

In recent years a high percentage of people around the globe have opted to take a natural and holistic approach to their health. The removal of chemicals, preservatives and additives and the addition of fresh, whole and organic foods now comfortably walks hand in hand with the use of natural medicine. Almost two decades ago, Sue started formulating herbal blends and treatment plans using the same principles but for animals with astounding results. At a time when the acceptance of herbal medicine for animals was quite poor, the more than favourable outcome of the animals that were transitioning to a natural diet and herbs brought about much curiosity and excitement of what could be. It wasn’t long before a herbal medicine for animals business was established and over the following 14 years, Sue lectured in the areas of Animal Naturopathy, Herbal medicine, Nutrition, Pasture management, Anatomy and physiology and Myofunctional therapy and graduated in the areas of Animal Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Shiatsu, Bowen Therapy and Iridology. The constant study, dedication and further development of the treatments for animals gained the respect of Veterinary practitioners and Animal practitioners alike. With so much interest, Sue offered regular presentations for owners and travelled to the UK and Europe where she continued to educate owners about the simple, cost effective and incredible health benefits associated with offering their pets a natural lifestyle along with the use of herbal medicine when needed. With many years of experience and the need to continue to help the animal world, we are proud to be offering our new herbal range. This time we have opted for pure herbal extracts with 75-80% being fresh plant tinctures that have been grown in Australia. The development of products and treatment plans are ongoing which means that our journey is far from over. Want to join us? We would love to be a part of your pet’s journey too.

It’s true that there are natural compounds (not synthetically made) that reduce blood glucose levels.

As a Naturopath and Oriental Medicine practitioner, I find these exceptional in the treatment of conditions such as laminitis and EMS….but this is why over the past 20 years I have rarely spoken about them.

I am not a healer, a witch, or a magical goddess.

I like to think that I’m here to give owners the confidence to treat their horses from a holistic perspective (diet, lifestyle, supplements with a focus on the emotional health too) so that they can reassess constantly, boost immunity, reduce physical compensation and keep the body as balanced as possible throughout each season.

Now….back to the compounds to reduce blood glucose!

When owners see this, SOME (not all) will decide that it’s okay to go back to the lifestyle or diet that put their horses in this very position.

Each year I see countless horses with conditions that make them feel miserable and worse.

When we supplement our horses with herbal medicine, we MUST always reassess the lifestyle, rehab, movement patterns, diet and demeanour of our horses.

The supplement itself doesn’t mean that we no longer need to worry about all of the above, the supplement offers us a chance to rebalance and strengthen the body so that it has a chance to heal itself.

The aim is, and always will be, long term health and happiness.

When this is achieved, all we really need to do is maintain their health from a holistic perspective.

Happy horses that are thriving both mentally and physically.

Let me know if you’d like to know more about these compounds, but don’t forget about the other factors,
Sue 🥰

***Equine Hormonal herbal formula testimonial.***

Before starting the Hormonal herbal formula, Bailey was what we described as the mariest mare ever.
Constantly squirting, winking and challenging us with her behaviour no matter what season it was.
It wasn’t easy.
After being on the Hormonal herbal extracts, she is better to handle and recently came into season, and is still well behaved and much calmer.
***

Hormonal symptoms can be the result of numerous contributing factors and therefore a multifaceted approach can make all the difference.

Our Equine Hormonal formula has been the difference between, unmanageable and unhappy horses to content, calm and easily handled horses.

Low dose (4ml per 500kg) which means that just one bottle will last a 500kg horse over 12 weeks (a full blood cycle) which also makes it incredibly cost effective.

Little Eli is such a happy, healthy little boy….but today he wasn’t feeling 100%.
When checking him over, he displayed both restriction and discomfort mid back and I also found a little grazing on his hind leg.
I’m not sure what shenanigans he’s been up to with the big dogs, however he seemed to feel extra special on the dining table, having a shiatsu and acupuncture treatment with an extended “recalibration time” to snooze post treatment.
All of our dogs are regularly checked over and treated whether they are displaying discomfort or not.
It allows me to track any changes and means that if they ever need a treatment, that they will feel comfortable and even a bit special to have their own special treatment time.
No fuss, no concerns and all the while they will be offered maintenance treatments to ensure they are all in good shape.
Each week I open my canine room in the Yarra Valley, where you can bring your dogs to experience a consult/treatment from both a Naturopathic and Oriental Medicine perspective.
I use various modalities including Shiatsu, Acupuncture, Massage and Bowen Therapy and will always choose which modalities suit your individual dog the best.
Every consult is viewed holistically, looking for the causes, so we will also go over diet, supplements (if needed) and lifestyle to ensure the outcome is long term health.
For appointments, please contact me either via our website, message or phone.
