Last year in August I weighed myself.
What I saw on the scales not only shocked me but disgusted me to the point of disbelief.
I was the heaviest I had ever been and my body composition was the worst it had ever been.
For so long I had focused on making sure everyone around me got to do what they needed to do.
Somehow along the way I had simply stopped making sure that I got to do what I needed to do for myself.
My health started to suffer and suddenly there was only a handful of shirts and pants that I could fit into.
No longer was there any resemblance of the “kind of fit-ish guy that really loves to train” that I once was.
I set myself an achievable task - exercise every day for a minimum of 30 minutes – so I did.
More importantly I also set myself a realistic goal – to drop 1kg per month for an entire year.
Not only did I exercise every day but I accomplished my goal – I dropped 12.20kg in exactly 12 months.
Each week I weighed myself and despite a very somewhat slow start it continued to drop bit by bit by bit.
How did I do this? The answer is simple. I was consistent and persisted. That was it.
It did not matter the weather, my mood or what else was happening around me – I just did it.
I created my own training program and stuck with it no matter how difficult - I could see an end.
I lost the weight. I have more energy. I am sleeping better. I am a happier person again.
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS: 12.20kg
TOTAL BODY FAT LOSS: 5.20%
TOTAL BMI REDUCTION: 3.60
I still have another 24.3kg to lose and I know it will take me another 24 months to do it.
I will continue to train daily. I will continue to lose the weight. I will continue to succeed.
There are many people out there who are either struggling with their weight or unhappy with their fitness levels.
I am not a Personal Trainer or a Fitness Instructor – but I have been a coach with wide-ranging experience.
I have extensive knowledge in the Health & Fitness industry, successfully operating 16 different facilities across Sydney.
I was going to start my own micro fitness studio in Guildford at the beginning of July – but due to restrictions this is on an eternal hold.
Rather than waiting for the never-ending lockdown to be over I will be launching with online training sessions on Monday 30th August.
These online training sessions are via Zoom will be held at 6pm Monday to Friday and will be 30 minutes in duration.
Join me if you are struggling with weight loss or if you just need to find some motivation to start training once again.
