High Spirits where I completed all of my Ka Huna Massage training recently had their 20th Birthday, and I also celebrated my 20th year as a Ka Huna Massage therapist. My partner Brian and I attended the celebrations and had such a great time... I am loving giving ka huna as much today as I did then, probably more! This was exceptional training for anyone interested in facilitating groups and much needed for me personally to gain confidence to present. Ka Huna Massage also known as Lomi Lomi is a deeply healing and fluid massage. It is a full body experience which is perfomed as a dance like massage that flows over and around the body, easing tension and unlocking blockages in movement, pain, emotions and energy.

Performed at different levels the pressure and flow can be soft and gentle, or deep into the body and changes in rhythmic flow. Very nuturing, the practitioner directs the energy of ALOHA (Love) for the client to recieve.

The Seven Shamanic principles of Huna Philosophy are also included to create intention for healing and focus.

Many techniques are used that are different to traditional massage including under body work, laying on the table directly without the use of towels and the draping is different, allowing acces to the whole body.

Hawaiians (where this massage originates) believe in terms of energy flow and that blockages can create tension and pain in the muscles of the body. The massage helps to release and brings a higher state of being, deeply relaxing and soothing. It helps to facilitate healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Having completed all 7 Levels of Ka Huna training with Mette's Institute (many several times); Levels 1 & 2 Heart Works Lomi Lomi; Ili Ili hot stones; Polynesian Floor Work; Pregnancy Massage and having been practising for almost 20 years, I combine all of these into my own unique flow to offer each client a bespoke massage.
