Struggling with knee pain you just can't quite put your finger on? It may be due to poor ankle dorsiflexion!
Ankle dorsiflexion is the ability of the ankle joint to flex upwards towards the shin.
Poor ankle dorsiflexion can be caused by a variety of factors, including muscle imbalances, joint stiffness, and ankle sprains and leads to a higher risk of ACL tears, MCL sprains, and knee injuries.
Increasing ankle dorsiflexion through exercises and stretching specifically targeted for the area is key to decreasing your risk for lower limb injuries.
