About the owner: I have been teaching since 2004, and attending classes myself for almost 20 years. I first started doing yoga regularly and for many years as a teenager at The Yoga Studio in Coffs Harbour, Australia. My training took place in beautiful Ubud, Bali with the wonderful teachers of Yoga Arts, Byron Bay, Australia. I then went on to teach for several years on the Gold Coast before relocating to London, England from 2007- 2013, where I taught various styles of yoga and pilates to all levels and age groups. My career as a teacher started out in gyms and health clubs and then progressed to eventually teaching classes and courses at world renowned studios such as Triyoga in all their locations across London, Evolve Wellness Centre in South Kensington, Jiva Health in Wimbledon and many more studios, health clubs, workplaces and even high schools. My classes are structured to meet the needs of all students from beginners through to advanced. I incorporate music, dynamic or restorative sequencing, depending on the class style, core stability, correct alignment and use of breath. As well as teaching yoga and pilates in Australia and England I have also taught lived and taught yoga in Hong Kong and ran yoga retreats in Turkey and Egypt. Not long after my arrival in Perth I was invited by Lululemon to represent the brand and yoga as an ambassador for 2yrs. I am now happy and content to be here managing and teaching in my own studio Sun Moon Yoga which has now been open for 2yrs.

Chakra Flow Yoga - A mix of slow and fast classes depending on the Chakra - All Levels Offered
Vinyasa Flow Style as above but with a focus on each of the sevens chakras. According to yoga tradition, the subtle body is a part of you that you can’t see or touch—it’s where your energy flows, which is why it’s also referred to as the energy body. There are seven key points in the subtle body that are thought to be vortexes of energy, known as chakras. When energy becomes blocked in a chakra or wheel of energy, it triggers physical, mental, or emotional imbalances that manifest in symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, or poor digestion. When a chakra, or wheel of energy is blocked, a well-tuned yoga practice may be helpful to release the prana (energy) through movement. Yoga postures are a great way to release stale or stuck energy from the body because they invite fresh, vital energy back in through poses and the breath. The yoga postures will be specifically chosen for each Chakra from one to seven. No need to start at one and if you miss a week it doesn't matter just come along. Variations and modifications are taught to individualise the practice for each student, making it ideal for many levels of practitioner. Some prior experience with Vinyasa Flow Yoga is recommended, ideally three to four Slow Flow Yoga classes before moving on to a Chakra Flow Yoga class.

Fusion Flow Yoga - Beginners Friendly - All Levels Offered
All Fusion classes will vary, but have a foundation in vinyasa, a flowing practice of yoga that links postures to the breath, often through Sun Salutations. You may find a sprinkling of slow flow to work alignment and build stamina, yoga and pilates core to fire up the abdominals and passive yin and restore postures to release stress and tension. You'll flow through sun salutations, open your hips in warrior poses, sometimes take longer holds or flow with the breath, balance in poses such as eagle and tree, strengthen your core and open up your hamstrings and shoulders in more passive holds at the end of class.
Ultimately, you'll have to ask the teacher what to expect in these classes, or just experience them for yourself. Beginners friendly and all levels are catered for.

Yang Yin Yoga - Beginners Friendly Class - Some Progressions Offered
Yang, the masculine principle: light, active, outward and upward moving, hot, extrospective. Yang yoga is the more traditional vinyasa based asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility. Yin, the feminine principle: dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective. Yin yoga was developed to pe*****te deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the nadis or meridians to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow. Variations and modifications are taught to individualise the practice for each student, making it ideal for many levels of practitioner. This class is for those with very little experience or those taking a step back from a stronger Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice - no advanced postures or progressions will be offered but expect to move for the first half of the class as you would in Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes.

Slow Flow Yoga - Beginners Friendly Class - Some Progressions Offered
Slow Flow Yoga is a mindful, slowly paced yoga class that incorporates conscious flowing of breath with movement of body. This class is appropriate for beginners however students new to yoga are encouraged to enroll in our 6 Week Beginners Course first. The challenge of this class comes from awareness of movement that is slow and focused so it can also be a welcome change of pace from our stronger sister style Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This class will build strength through slow, focused movements and increase flexibility and range of motion via flowing movements and deep stretching. It includes focused and gentle opening of the body and spine, foundational yoga poses and sun salutations, attention to detail on breath and alignment, and some long holds for strength. Keen focus, concentration, control of breath, and determination are cultivated in Slow Flow Yoga. A great class for those with little to some experience - a slower pace to our regular Vinyasa classes and a good chance to focus more on alignment and doing the postures correctly.
Yin Yoga - Beginners Friendly Class - No Progressions Offered
Yin Yoga uses long passive holds to work on the connective tissues of the physical anatomy and on the energy system of the subtle anatomy resulting in a profound balancing of your 'inner' strength and 'outer' flexibility. The perfect antidote to urban stress. Yin poses are passive and designed to adjust the nervous system and rest the adrenal glands enabling the body to move towards balance. A great compliment to a more active style such as Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Suitable for all practitioners, from complete beginners to the more experienced. No advanced postures are offered.
