I have been working on and holding onto a little something for the last 2 years.
Its my dream to teach yoga for work the workplace.
Many people that attend yoga comment on how amazing they feel physically after yoga, they tell me their limitations and after a few weeks demonstrate their new abilities and how attending yoga has been their remedy.
The other most common comment about yoga is how relaxed people feel, how connected they feel being a part of a group that is flowing together and enjoying the final 5-10 minutes of our practice in a reclined position (laying down sometimes supported). Oftentimes after class I will hear 'I was feeling really stressed after work and I feel so relaxed now." That comment alone is the reason I started on my journey of bringing yoga to the workplace. Imagine bringing all of these positive aspects of yoga into the workplace, transform the workplace from stress triggering to evoking relaxation. Yoga can help bring people together with shared positive experience to reflect on together.
Because I am so passionate about this idea and business venture I hold it close to my heart which means that I have been holding onto it, but after an eye opening conversation with Brigette Ayres on Wednesday night I realised that if I keep holding onto my dream I will never be able to live it!
