Today is World Stroke Day, and we’re helping spread the word on the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke:

Face – Has their mouth drooped?
Arms – Can they lift both arms?
Speech – Is their speech slurred or confused?
Time – Call 000 immediately.

Please take a moment to learn the signs, share them with loved ones, and help save lives!

This Friday, on World Mental Health Day, Young Medicare Mental Health Centre and Wellways invite you to take part in a community walk as we celebrate this year’s Mental Health Month theme: “Taking Steps on your Wellbeing Journey.”

Let’s come together to connect, reflect, and take positive steps for our mental wellbeing. The walk is for everyone or, if you prefer, simply join us afterwards for morning tea and a friendly chat.

The Doctors and Staff of the Young District Medical Centre would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family of the late Dr Michael J Mullany OAM.

Dr Mullany was a highly respected and valued member of the medical community in Young. From the beginnings of his practice in 1957 through to his retirement in his 80s, he cared for generations of local families.

His dedication and contribution to health care played an integral part in what is the Young District Medical Centre today.
