Our wonderful Janine recently travelled to West Sumba, Indonesia with the Sumba Eye Program & Foresight Australia ✈️ 👀🩵

In just 4 days, the team provided eye care to 818 people, distributed 744 pairs of glasses, performed 55 cataract surgeries, and helped restore sight through life-changing treatments
•
It’s incredible to see the impact quality eye care can have - helping people return to work, continue their education, and see clearly again
•
What an amazing experience to be part of. Well done Janine on contributing to such meaningful and life-changing work 👏✨

We’re on the ground in Sumba this week.

Families are walking hours to reach our clinics—many receiving eye care for the very first time.

Every screening, every pair of glasses, every referral is a step toward restoring sight and independence.
