Every time I come here I am reminded why this is my favorite painting.

Not because it’s perfect.
But because it feels honest.

There’s a bird in the middle, not fully in the cage, not fully in the sky.

And that…that’s where most of us actually live.

We say we want freedom.
But we also want safety.
We want expansion.
But we’re attached to the familiar.

So we hover.
We overthink.
We stare at the open door like it might close again.

As a psychologist, I sit with people in this exact space all the time. Not forcing them to fly. Not shoving them back into the cage.

Just holding the middle.

Because the middle isn’t weakness. It’s the moment before self-trust.

And maybe freedom isn’t about escaping. Maybe it’s about realizing the door has been open longer than you thought🕊️

I am the therapist who drinks iced coffee or a giant glass of Diet Coke and will absolutely clock your attachment style in the first 12 minutes👀

Therapy isn’t stiff.
It just has to be honest.
It’s not me staring at you while you spiral.
It’s us noticing your patterns in real time and respectfully dragging them.

We can laugh😆
We can cry 😢
We can unpack your childhood🧳
But we are not romanticizing trauma responses in 2026✨

Healing doesn’t mean becoming someone else, it means finally feeling safe being you❤️‍🩹

Our Self-Esteem Group Therapy for children ages 6–8 is a warm, supportive space where kids build confidence, strengthen social skills, and learn to express themselves in healthy ways through play, connection, and encouragement.

🗓 Starts Wednesday, February 18th
⏰ 5:00–6:30 PM | 6-week group
🎨 Small group, limited to 6 children
