Excited to harvest okra.The local (Aruban) way is to stew it. We saute in olive oil, garlic and onion. We recently threw a few in a pickle jar for a few days. Wow! Very nice. 🥒

Today's harvest.
Okra has antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Rich in vitamin K and plant based calcium for bone health.
Hot red pepper is full of antioxidants and beta carotene which may protect eye, lung, brain and skin health. 🌶️

And what have you done?
John Lennon sang, “So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over…” If I had to sum up what I have done this year, it would be that I have shared my journey.

My work is to share my knowledge with students, co-workers, community, patients, family, friends, pets and especially my partner Phyllis.

If you are reading this, we are already sharing our journeys and I thank you. As we continue our journey into the New Year, we invite you to travel with us, learning and sharing body, mind and spiritual health. Next year, when you think, “what have I done?” - we wish 2026, be a year you become a better you, filled with joy, health and sharing.
