🌍 Big update on pandemic preparedness!
👉 Countries around the world are still working together on a key piece of the WHO Pandemic Agreement — called PABS (Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing).
*In simple terms:*
When a new virus is discovered, countries should share it quickly so scientists can act fast — AND everyone should benefit, not just a few.
*Think:*
💉 vaccines
🧪 tests
💊 treatments
During COVID-19, access wasn’t equal. Many countries were left behind. This system aims to fix that.
⏳ Negotiations will continue end of April, with a goal to finalize before the World Health Assembly in May.
*WHO’s Director-General emphasized one key thing:*
🤝 trust and solidarity
Because pandemics don’t respect borders — and neither should solutions.
👉 *Goal:* a world that responds faster, fairer, and together next time.
