Medicine has changed.

A century ago, the world was dominated by acute threats: infections, childbirth complications, trauma, and diseases that killed quickly and suddenly.

But modern medicine did something extraordinary.
Antibiotics. Vaccines. Surgery. Intensive care. Emergency medicine. Public health.

We learned how to save lives.
And because of that, humanity began to live longer than ever before.

But longer lives came with a new reality.

Today, the greatest medical challenge is no longer what kills fast…
It’s what stays with people for years.

Chronic disease is now the true battlefield of modern medicine. Complex, lifelong, and affecting every healthcare system worldwide.

That is why MedReCon 2026 is dedicated to one theme:
THE AGE OF CHRONIC DISEASE.

Because this is the era future doctors are stepping into.
And this is the medicine we must be ready for.

We are proud to officially announce a collaboration between MedReCon 2026 and the 17th Days of BHAAAS.

This means that the 3rd day of MedReCon 2026 will be delivered by BHAAAS professionals — physicians and experts bringing international knowledge, clinical excellence, and a global perspective to Sarajevo.

A very special thank you to Professor Enita Nakaš — for planting this tree, and for planting inspiration in each of us. Your guidance, warmth, and vision make all the difference. 💚

This tree will grow just like we do — slowly, with time, through storms and sunshine alike. One day, someone will walk by its shade and never know what it represents. But we will. We were here. We chose to build something lasting.

Here’s to growth, to legacy, and to the roots we’re laying down — in our studies, in our community, and in ourselves.

🚀Closing of MedReCon 2025🚀

Just because it was the last day of the conference doesn't mean we didn't have fun learning!

Amazing workshops and panels were the best medicine to conclude this year's conference. We learned about doping in sports, and how to prepare our 3D prints. It definitely tickled the interest of all our students to learn more in the future and come back! 🫆

Let's not forget about our student presentations - who worked hard to fight to the last minute! 👩🏼‍🎓

At the very end, we have announced the hardworking winners of this year's Hackathon, as well as the best student abstract and presentation of MedReCon 2025. 🎖️🎖️🎖️

It truly was an amazing experience for everyone.
Thank you all for joining us. We hope you had fun as much as we did!

Our starting point on Day 3 were amazing, funny, and brilliant student Hackathon presentations.

An amazing jury that chose the best app made in only two days! 🎖️

The spirit of our contestants never managed to fail us. We laughed together, and they made an impact on the future of medicine! 👩🏼‍💻

🚀 Day 2 of MedReCon 🚀

Another successful day at MedReCon! We got to enjoy our panels, analyze some ECGs, learn about holters and ultrasound, and took home a great message on longevity medicine!
Our participants had yet another busy day filled with amazing activities.

While our hardworking hackathon bees are doing what they know best, and our participants learn more and more with amazing workshops and even better lecturers - the rest of us are enjoying lessons on taking the right moves for our health, to be able to live a better, longer life!

🚀Day 1 kickoff🚀

We have enjoyed such amazing panels, entertainment games, workshops - and most importantly - student presentations!

Our students had a chance to learn just how much smoking and coffee affected their teeth, learn something new about doing spray art, as well as enjoy amazing workshops about their respective fields. 🖌️🦷

Student presentations have created a great atmosphere for all of those presenting tomorrow! 👩🏼‍🎓
