SAMED - International Medical Students Congress Sarajevo 8th SaMED will be held in September, 19-22 in Sarajevo SaMED 2024 will be held in Sarajevo from 19th to 22nd September.

SaMED is a creation of a union of enthusiastic, empowered and hard-working young people who are ready to change the medical future, but also brave enough to start from their own community. Even though the story of SaMED has started as a dream of bosnian and herzegovinian medical students, this international event has shown that a vast number of young researchers around the globe can gather in one

place and invest their best resources in order to create a trace that will lead the Love of Humanity. Due to our well-known tradition of keeping high standards and due to our regular contributions to expanding the large international medical network, it is our greatest pleasure to invite you to SaMED 2024! SaMED 2024 is coming again with its 8th edition and represents an official collaboration of the Association of Students of the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo (ASMF Sarajevo) as main organizer and our main partner Bosnian and Herzegovinian Medical Students’ Association (BoHeMSA). We would like to take you through our magical inspirational environment, which is specially designed to awaken your scientific strengths, empower your influence and bring amazing people to your path. ❗IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⬇️
- Registration for SaMED 2024 will take place on Friday morning at 8:00 AM at Unitic (Fra Anđela Zvizdovića 1), where you will get your accreditations.
- Accreditations are mandatory for all activities, including the social program.
- The Friday program will be held at Unitic, except for the first workshop, which will take place at the Faculty of Medicine (Čekaluša 90).
- The Saturday program will be held at the Faculty of Medicine, and the Sunday program at Unitic.
- The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Unitic.
- The dress code is ELEGANT.
- Opening party is after the Opening Ceremony in the Aquarius Vils.
- To receive a certificate, you must attend your selected workshop and at least 80% of the program (social events are excluded).
- Social program for Friday and Saturday night is at Kino Bosna (kafana two nights in a row 🎉🥂).
- The estimated temperature during the Congress is between 10°C and 20°C, so please remember to bring warm clothing.
- Lastly, we kindly ask you to join our official WhatsApp group chat. A link has been sent to you via email. We will share important information there, and it will also serve as a platform for your questions, so be sure not to miss out.

Our Story

We are honored to welcome you to the 5th SaMED - International medical students' congress in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This congress is an official project of the Association of students of the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo (ASMF Sarajevo), Bosnian and Herzegovinian Medical Students’ Association (BoHeMSA) and InciSion BiH. SaMED was founded by students who want to enable and motivate their colleagues and young researches from a vast range of fields, a place where they can present their work and exchange ideas and experiences. After the great success of the SaMED 2019 which was held this year, it is our obligation to keep the same amazing standards as before. SaMED 2019 was something extraordinary with more than 300 participants from 20 countries across the globe. During the four days of the the congress participants will have the opportunity to present their scientific work, listen to lectures from the leading experts in current fields and to take part in stimulating and inspiring workshops. Of course an exciting social program will be organized for our guests. WE WELCOME YOU TO THE 5th SaMED TO IMPROVE YOUR MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE, TO MEET OUR BEAUTIFUL CITY OF SARAJEVO, TO MAKE NEW FRIENDSHIPS AND TO KEEP OLD ONES.
