On this day we stand with others to raise awareness about the human rights and fundamental freedoms of autistic individuals.
It is our mission to see a society that facilitates the equal participation of autistic individuals and recognises the significant contributions many of them have and continue to make towards the enhancement of our country as a whole.
This yearโs theme โAdvancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goalsโ asks us to recognise the interconnectivity between the sustainability of our world and embracing the many variations in human brain function.
Through increased awareness we can foster greater education and inclusivity, while striving to reduce the societal stigmas which perpetuate inequality and encourage segregation.
