On Saturday December 13,2025 LELIA ELEANOR GIBBS nėe Lowe, affectionally known as “Nellie” of Melrose, St. Thomas and formerly Reading, England and Hillaby, St. Andrew died peacefully at age 82.

She was a retired Staff Nurse of the Geriatric Hospital; former Vice President of The Lions Club North; Former President of The Sharon Moravian Womens’ Fellowship and The Association of Friends of the Gordan Cummins Hospital. Daughter of the late Aaron Lowe and Sybil Boyce; Step-daughter of Dalrymple Boyce; Beloved wife of Ricardo “Richie” Gibbs; Mother of Jason Gibbs; Grandmother of Sharlene, Kiesha, Jaydon and Kieran Gibbs; Great grandmother of Four. Step-mother of Corey Broomes; Godmother of Ajani Webster-Worrell, Ashley Leacock and Kristal Cumberbatch; Sister of Marjorie Prudent of the U.K. and the late Anthony Lowe. Aunt of Mark. The funeral of the late Lelia Eleanor “Nellie” Gibbs nėe Lowe leaves Paramount Funeral Home, Upper Hindsbury Road, St. Michael at 1:30 pm on Thursday January 15, 2026 for Sharon Moravian Church, Sharon, St. Thomas where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 pm for the service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate her life; followed by the interment in the Church yard.
