High blood pressure, or hypertension, often develops without warning signs, which is why it is sometimes described as a โ€œsilentโ€ condition. It can affect people at any stage of life, from childhood through older adulthood. Over time, uncontrolled blood pressure can damage blood vessels and increase the risk of serious health complications.

Know your numbers. Have your blood pressure checked regularly, adopt heart-healthy habits, and seek medical advice if your readings are high. Early awareness and action can help protect your heart, brain, and overall health.

๏ฟฝThe January Barbados Hiking Association hike schedule is out, and itโ€™s the perfect way to kick-start 2025 with fresh air, movement, and great company.

There are hikes for different fitness levels, so everyone can find one that works for them. Which hike will you join this month?

Yoga is known for itโ€™s ability to soothe tension and anxiety in the mind and body. But it can also have an impact on a personโ€™s exercise capacity as it improves strength, balance and flexibility.

A regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and inflammation within the body.

Factors which contributes to heart disease, high blood pressure and excess weight can also be addressed through a consistent yoga practice which is why you should make it one of your New Years resolutions ๐Ÿ•‰
