Shutting down isn’t avoidance — it’s a nervous system response.
When conflict feels overwhelming or unsafe, the body may move into freeze or fawn mode.
Understanding this response helps create healthier communication patterns.
We help clients develop emotional regulation and communication strategies for conflict.
Save this for later.

10 years of Inkblot Wellness! 🦋💜

Here is some behind the scenes of how we chose to celebrate this milestone.

The team stepped away from the sessions and reports.
We celebrated with laughter (and some happy tears!)
Reflection.
Some very competitive games 🤣

A moment to pause and celebrate the work and each other.

Over the years, this team has shown up with compassion, professionalism, and heart, day after day. Inkblot’s team culture is grounded in the belief that the people behind the work matter just as much as the work itself!

10 years later, and we’re still building something special… together! ✨

Your attachment style is shaped by early experiences, emotional safety, and how your needs were responded to. Attachment patterns can evolve with awareness and support.
You can learn to feel safe in connection again.

Your nervous system thrives in safety — not intensity. Save this for a reminder.

Being constantly available online can quietly increase stress, anxiety, and burnout.

Setting limits around notifications, screen time, or work messages isn’t avoidance — it’s regulation.

Support often begins with permission to step back.

Support is available when things feel overwhelming.

Digital spaces can be informative, connecting, and overwhelming — sometimes all at once.

Digital wellbeing isn’t about quitting your phone.
It’s about noticing how technology affects your mood, focus, and nervous system.

A brief pause can be a form of care.

For me it was spending time in nature. Reflection helps you understand your patterns, needs, and capacity.
Take 2 minutes to check in with yourself today — your mind deserves attention too.

Self-compassion softens the nervous system.
Try repeating these phrases on difficult days — they help shift your internal tone toward safety and support.
Your healing is worth speaking kindly to.

Save this for hard days.

When routines fail, it’s usually because they were built from pressure — not compassion.
A regulation routine should feel supportive, sustainable, and flexible enough to fit your life.
Start small. Grow steadily.

Save this for your wellness planning.

Emotional regulation doesn’t mean feeling calm all the time.
It means noticing emotions, naming them, and responding with intention instead of reaction.
Progress is subtle, but powerful.

Drop a 💜 if you’re working on emotional regulation this year.
