Verdun House

Verdun House Verdun House is owned and operated by the Substance Abuse Foundation. Verdun House is a residential addiction treatment facility for men of 18 years and older.

For over 20 years, Verdun House has given people from Barbados and the region who struggle with life-controlling addictions a second chance at life. Verdun House is a 12 Step residential support program for young men, ages 18 and older; who are trapped in addiction. We recognize that addiction can take numerous forms, and is not just limited to drug and alcohol abuse. Hotline 246-243-0038

So pleased that we are making headway and meeting our first quarter of 2024 deadline in restoring our 18th century Greathouse at Verdun House to a therapeutically healthy place. Uphill battle...high costs of repairs and maintenance. THANKS to the expert advice and support from Williams Industries, Brewsters Painting and Harris Paints....we will achieve our maintenance plan for the outside at the end of our 2023-24 Financial Year - March 31st . Then we are on to the dorms! Please support our efforts.

Scheduled for the last quarter of our Reburbishing of our Great House and Second Stage Building at Verdun House - we are meeting our target to complete the exterior by February 29, 2024. Thanks to Williams Equipment, Brewsters and Harris Paints advice and support -- we are making some head. Change of colouor with accents - Quality Service Assured"! Keeping our grounds and buildings therapeutically healthy is an uphill battle...."The Attempt" is an 18th century buiilding!
