BEREAVEMENT/COMPASSIONATE LEAVE.

Did you know there's no legal requirement for employers in Barbados to provide bereavement leave?

Here are a few things you should know:

-Company Policy: Some employers may offer bereavement leave as a company policy.

-Union Agreements: Bereavement Leave may be included in a union agreement.

-Paid Leave: The Employment Rights Act provides for three (3) days of paid bereavement leave for the death of an immediate family member.
