What is hepatitis?

Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver, often caused by a viral infection.
There are 5 main types: Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E.
Some are acute (short-term), while others can become chronic and lead to liver damage, cancer, or death.

Over 350 million people worldwide live with chronic hepatitis B or C.

Many don’t even know they’re infected.
Early detection saves lives.

We are looking for dedicated, qualified, and compassionate nurses to help us deliver top-quality care.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Educating and counseling patients effectively
- ⁠Maintaining high standards of work quality and clinical practices
- ⁠Exhibiting strong leadership capabilities
- ⁠Displaying professional, supportive, and collaborative behavior
- ⁠Engaging in identifying and resolving problems
- Delivering outstanding patient care and customer service

Requirements:
- Nursing qualification from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the Barbados Nursing Council
- ⁠Previous experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting would be an asset
- ⁠Strong interpersonal skills
- ⁠Effective communication and organizational skills
- ⁠Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- ⁠Flexibility - available to work bank holidays, weekends, and night shifts
- ⁠Computer literacy
