YOGACISE CLASSES FOR AGES 50 PLUS
Aging gracefully is not as difficult as it seems – a healthy diet with real food, adequate rest and exercise is very important to maintain healthy bones and a healthy body. As we age, we need more than supplements like magnesium and calcium to maintain healthy bones. By focusing on strength training, we build muscle which can help slow the process of Osteoporosis.
Yogacise is a blend of yoga stretches and strength training using bands and your body weight to strengthen your bones, increase flexibility and range of motion.
These classes are broken into 3 parts to target different areas of the mind and body:
1. Yogacise - 45-minute session focusing on various parts of the body
2. Meditation – 10 minutes to quiet the mind, which gives you time to connect with your higher self. There is no religion or dogma.
3. An inspirational Reading - usually from one of the many books I’ve read – Iyanla Vanzant, Marianne Williamson, Eckhardt Tolle, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Caroline Myss and many more.
The classes are not fast paced and are specifically geared towards clients who have various issues and are limited in their movements.
You don’t have to have a physical aliment or be physically fit to join the class just a willingness to move and keep healthy is all that is encouraged.
Other requirements – a sense of humor – be ready, willing, and able to laugh at yourself.
Work hard and have fun doing it.
Be present in your mind and body.
